East Central Austin
East Central Austin is quickly becoming highly popular with young couples, artists, and the "creative class". During the run-up between 2004-2008, East Central Austin property prices skyrocketed, but recently they have dropped slightly. Now they are in line with the rest of central austin and in many cases, less expensive. Eastern neighborhoods of Delwood and French Place are known for their progressive attitudes, open-mindedness, and easy walkability as well as their convenience to downtown Austin.They are close to UT and have many properties popular with students.
