Great Hills is, as its namesake states, a very hilly neighborhood at the apex of 183, Mopac and 360, about 10 miles north and slightly west of downtown Austin. It is bordered to the South and West by loop 360 and Spicewood Springs, to the North by Floral Park drive, and to the East by Jollyville Road. Great Hills Houses were largely built in the late seventies and early eighties, though some sections of Great Hills have been built since 1990. Houses in Great Hills range from around 2,000 square feet to about 4,500 square feet, and range in price from around $300,000 to about $800,00. Learn more about the area.

The neighborhood is bordered by the popular Arboretum area, home to many retail locations and offices, and is a quick drive to the Domain. The neighborhood has a strong and active neighborhood association eager to get residents involved. Unlike many neighborhoods in the suburbs, the neighborhood has very convenient flyer buses that provide quick access to downtown Austin and the University area. it is home to the popular Great Hills Country club, contains quite a few apartment buildings, and is a popular area for residence of families of all ages as well as students.
